Sometimes a scream is better than a thesis.

About Me

I am a daughter of the Sunflower State and a patron of the world.

I have extensive experience working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, many different forms of trauma and victimization, as well as couples experiencing long-term discomfort.

I am a subject matter expert in victimology, sexual assault, human trafficking, domestic violence, crisis response, and multi generational trauma. I have spent the better part of the past 10 years responding to every crisis imaginable such as, mass victimization, homicide, multi-victim sexual assault and human trafficking.

Whether you’re looking for a long-term commitment to a therapeutic relationship, or a short term solution to an acute crisis, I will guide you through a process of exploration, understanding, and resolution.

My style is no judgment, kind, straightforward, and open. You are the expert in your own life. I am simply a guide and conduit of the knowledge and experience I have gained over the years.

We are all a work in progress, and I would be honored to join you on part of your journey.

Short Term Crisis Therapy

We all have times in our life when we need to navigate a difficult situation. You’ve decided to separate and need to tell the kids. Holidays are coming up and the inevitable family arguments begin, or I have an event coming up and it’s triggering me…

You get the idea.

Sometimes it’s a crisis we can predict because it’s happened every time before or sometimes it’s one we fear is coming. Either way, let me help. We can create a structure within which you can navigate your difficult situation and rewrite that story.

Let everything happen to you, beauty and terror, just keep going, no feeling is final.

Women's Therapy

Women face unique challenges at every stage of life. Between the makeup of our remarkable bodies and all that they endure, our desire to create and sustain loving and fulfilling relationships and the messaging of our social construct; confusion, conflict and struggle are an inevitable consequence. We are here to grow, grieve, explore, love, fight, win, lose…all the things.

And sometimes here to just sit still.

Whatever your particular brand of complexity at the moment, I will guide you through a therapeutic process of remembering that you are the expert in your own life and peace is around the corner.

Couples Therapy

We Create Each Other…

Being in a romantic partnership can be rewarding, comforting, and exciting at the same time. And the reality of relationships is that they go through dark times. Kids, jobs, sex, past trauma, mortgages, extended family, money, grief, time…lot’s of things can get in the way of the couple you once were, the relationship you used to have, or the relationship you just realized that you need.

The good news is, our brains are wired for change, resilience, and expansion. Sometimes, if we are motivated, and have the tools, we can dig into all the stuff and learn how to choose each other again.

To destroy is always the first step in any creation.

Stage of Life Therapy

The new job, the breakup, got ghosted, parents died, moved states, had babies, got married…

We are expected to roll with these changes with our hair done, a significant other who puts us first, a life plan, lasagne in the oven, and kids dressed with homework done and manners to spare.

Sometimes what we need is to process the transition in a therapeutic place with someone who will hold space for the thoughts and big feelings that come with transition.

I will not only hold the space for you to explore your new normal, but I will give you the tools to navigate it with patience for yourself and the process.

Pet Loss Therapy

Grief is not linear, dignified, or clean. Grief at it’s best is chaotic, cathartic and messy. The loss of a pet can be some of the most painful times in a person's life. Not only is this pet a part of your family, often this pet IS your family. Or sometimes has been your family longer than your friends, partner, or kids have known you.

The immeasurable hole this loss can leave in your heart and world is a powerful thing to navigate. Grieving the loss of a pet can also bring up other feelings that we have yet to process about loved ones who have died or left us in some way. The loss of a pet can give us unconscious permission to fall apart, for all of the loss and all of the pain that we never let go of.

Well, now is the time.
